Nagelsmann's agent confirms talks with Bayern
According to several reports, Julian Nagelsmann is Bayern Munich's top candidate to replace the outgoing Thomas Tuchel as head coach at the end of the season.
Nagelsmann's agent, Volker Struth, has now confirmed ongoing talks between his client and Bayern and says a decision will be made soon.
"Everyone is asking me the question: is Nagelsmann going back to Bayern or what is Nagelsmann doing?
"It will be decided soon. In the next five, six, seven days.
"It would be complete nonsense to say that we are not talking to interested parties. Without saying who the interested parties are. I can only say that it's not just Bayern Munich.
"That's normal. That's my job and it would be a bit of a joke in the media to say we're not in talks. Of course we are talking now," Struth said on the podcast 'Spielmacher - Der EM-Talk mit Sebastian Hellmann und 360Media'.
After Bayern's 1-0 win over Arsenal on Wednesday, club CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen was asked if Nagelsmann will return.
"We'll see," he told AZ.
Nagelsmann coached Bayern between the summer of 2021 and March 2023, when he was sacked and replaced by Thomas Tuchel.
He's currently in charge of the German national team on a short-term contract until after the European Championship.
