Florian Neuhaus is coming off a difficult 2024/25 season at Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he was limited to just two starts in the Bundesliga. Now, it appears he has made his own situation even more complicated.

A controversial video featuring the 28-year-old midfielder began circulating on social media on Monday, causing quite a stir.

In the video, reportedly recorded on Mallorca, Neuhaus is seen speaking with a group of Gladbach fans about his multi-million-euro salary.

“He is the worst manager in the world. ‘Don Rollo’ gives Florian Neuhaus one, two, three, four million euros,” Neuhaus is heard saying, referring to Borussia Mönchengladbach’s managing director for sport, Roland Virkus.

Gladbach announced on Monday evening that they were verifying the authenticity of the footage.

RTL/ntv now reports that, according to their information, the video is indeed authentic.

Exactly what consequences Neuhaus will face remains to be seen. If he apologizes, a fine could be a likely outcome.
