Horn set to replace Schwäbe for Köln against Frankfurt
Timo Horn is expected to start for FC Köln against Eintracht Frankfurt as Marvin Schwäbe has tested positive for coronavirus.
FC Köln goalkeeper Marvin Schwäbe has been infected with COVID-19 and is set to miss this Saturday's Bundesliga clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 26-year-old is currently self-isolating at home and will most likely be replaced by Timo Horn on Saturday.
"His illness means that he will most likely not be there on Saturday. I haven't spoken to him on the phone yet, so accordingly I don't know how he is yet. Timo Horn will replace him against Frankfurt," said FC Köln coach Steffen Baumgart.
Horn lost his starting spot to Schwäbe earlier this season, and Baumgart went on to underline that the latter will be back between the sticks when he has recovered.
"There will be no goalkeeper discussion. We have made a decision that we will stick with until the summer at least. Nothing will change. Nevertheless, we have to see how Marvin is doing and when he will be back."
