Schalke boss expects Mark Uth to come back at the end of the season

FC Köln would like to keep Mark Uth beyond this season, but Schalke boss Jochen Schneider expects him to return at the end of his loan spell.
Schalke 04 head of sport Jochen Schneider 'assumes' that Mark Uth will return to Veltins-Arena when his loan spell at FC Köln is over at the end of the season.

"We are delighted with the good performances Mark Uth has shown in Köln. Right now, I assume that he will wear the royal blue jersey again in the new season," Schneider told Bild.

FC Köln boss Horst Heldt has said he would like to keep the 28-year-old beyond this season.

In light of the corona crisis, however, Köln probably can't afford to pay the €10 million release clause in Uth's deal.

According to Bild, Schalke don't want to let him go for less than this release clause or send him out on loan for another season.
