Report: Boateng will stay at Bayern
Jerome Boateng, who has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, will definitely stay at Bayern München according to Bild.
Jerome Boateng has been heavily linked with a move away from Bayern München during the summer, but according to Bild, the centre-back is now certain to stay at the Allianz Arena.
Paris Saint-Germain have shown an interest in the 29-year-old, but ultimately, it hasn't come to an agreement between the two clubs. Reportedly, PSG offered Bayern €40 million for him today, but the Bavarians want at least €50 million.
According to Die Welt, the Bayern bosses told PSG they wanted €40 million for Boateng, but just when the French champions were ready to pay the demanded fee, Bayern raised the asking price to €50 million, thus making sure that the transfer will not happen.
Bayern München president Uli Hoeness already said on Tuesday evening that he expected Boateng to stay.
"My feeling tonight is that he will remain at Bayern," Hoeness said.
Boateng was in Bayern München's starting eleven for the Bundesliga opener against Hoffenheim last Friday.
The 29-year-old joined Bayern München from Manchester City in 2011. His contract with the Bavarians runs until 2021.
