Official: Hoffenheim purchase French striker Rutter from Rennes
TSG 1899 Hoffenheim announced that they've purchased the contract of 18-year-old striker Georginio Rutter from Rennes.
Germany's Kraichgauer were apparently working on a summer transfer for young striker Georginio Rutter when the deal ended up turning into a straight sale. Both clubs confirmed the transaction on Monday evening, with French broadcaster RMC Sport reporting that the Bundesliga club paid Stade Rennais FC €500,000 for the attacker.
Rutter, who has already scored 15 goals for French national youth squads, only made his debut for the Rennes Senior squad earlier this season. He's made four appearances in relief. While he never opened his Ligue 1 account, the teenager did score a consolation goal as a late substitute in his team's UCL group stage loss to Sevilla.
Rutter new contact keeps himbound with the Sinsheimers through 2025.
Willkommen, Georginio 👋
