Rudi Völler: Florian Wirtz will stay

Florian Wirtz will be going nowhere this summer, insists Leverkusen chief Rudi Völler.
Bayer Leverkusen sporting managing director Rudi Völler has underlined that Florian Wirtz will be staying at the club beyond the summer.

Wirtz has managed to nail down a starting spot at the age of just 17 and has surely caught the eye of Europe's top clubs with his impressive performances for 'Die Werkself'.

Leverkusen, however, aren't considering letting the highly-rated youngster go at all.

"Florian will stay. We won't let anyone talk to us in this regard," Völler told Bild.

Wirtz, who is under contract until 2023, has found the net seven times and set up seven goals in 29 games for 'Die Werkself' this season.
