Marius Wolf has confirmed he wants to return to Borussia Dortmund after spending the 2020/21 season on loan at FC Köln.

"I want to try to assert myself again under new coach Marco Rose," Wolf said in an interview with the Express.

Looking back at his 2020/21 campaign with Köln, who narrowly escaped relegation from the Bundesliga, Wolf said:

"Even though it was a difficult season, I had a great time here in a great city and with a good team."

Dortmund has had loan spells at Hertha BSC and Köln following his move to Dortmund from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018.

In total, he has appeared 23 times for 'Die Schwarzgelben'. His contract expires in 2023.
