Peter Pekarik set to sign new Hertha contract

Hertha BSC are said to be closing in on a contract extension for Peter Pekarik.

Peter Pekarik is reportedly on the verge of extending his expiring contract with Hertha BSC.

According to Kicker, the 34-year-old is set to commit himself to another year at the German capital club by penning a new one-year deal.

The right-back made a total of 23 appearances for Hertha last season with four goals and an assist to his name.

He has played for the club since 2012, at which point he arrived from Wolfsburg on a free transfer.
