Official: Augsburg conclude loan deal for Maurice Malone
FC Augsburg officially confirmed Maurice Malone's loan-out to 1. FC Heidenheim late Monday afternoon.
German-American striker Maurice Malone is off to ply his trade in the Bundesrepublik's second footballing division. Both the top-tier Fuggerstädter and the 2. Bundesliga FCH officially announced the deal on Monday afternoon after reports surfaced earlier in the day.
"I view Heidenheim as an opportunity to take the next step in my footballing career," Malone noted in a statement on the FCH's website, "The 2. Bundesliga is a stronger division than ever before and I wish to assert myself on this level."
"We are delighted that we were able to add such a talented player to our squad at the end of the transfer window," FCH CEO Holger Sanwald added, "Maurice Malone is known for his speed and technique. He also has a demonstrated ability to score goals."
