Vladimir Coufal's brief spell of unemployment is over as the Czechia international has joined TSG Hoffenheim.

It was officially announced this afternoon that the right-back has signed a one-year contract with the Kraichgauers.

During the course of the 2024/25 campaign, Coufal made 22 Premier League appearances for West Ham before his contract expired.

With Coufal's signature, Hoffenheim have found a readymade replacement for the injured Valentin Gendrey.

The 25-year-old, who tore his syndesmotic ligament and fractured his ankle, is out until the end of the year.

"Vladimir is an experienced international and has played in the English Premier League. Due to his experience, he will need little time to adjust to our Bundesliga.

“We are convinced that with his outstanding mentality and individual quality, he will be an ideal addition to our team next season,” said Andreas Schicker, Sporting Director at TSG.
