Borussia Dortmund have loaned Cole Campbell to TSG Hoffenheim for the remainder of the season.

The agreement includes an option for Hoffenheim to make the 19-year-old’s move permanent.

“Cole is a young player with a lot of potential, which he has not been able to show recently for various reasons,” said BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

“He has high expectations of himself and was dissatisfied with his current role. That is also why we agreed to this loan. We believe he will receive more playing time in the second half of the season at TSG than he did with us recently, and we wish him every success.”

Hoffenheim managing director for sport Andreas Schicker expressed his delight at completing the deal.

“Cole is a very talented winger with great potential for development, and we have been closely monitoring him for some time,” Schicker said.

“He possesses excellent pace and strong one-on-one skills and can be deployed flexibly on the attacking flanks. We are confident that he will bring additional dynamism to our team.”
