Daniel Thioune's future at SV Werder Bremen is tied to specific parameters, according to a report by Sport BILD.

The head coach's contract, which expires at the end of the season, contains an extension clause linked to the team's performance.

This likely means that if his team achieves a certain league position, Thioune would automatically be retained by Bremen.

Although, the exact terms of the agreement in Thioune's deal are unclear, sporting director Clemens Fritz's contract also expires next year.

According to the report, Werder Bremen's supervisory board will decide on the 45-year-old's future in January.

Until now, the sporting fates of the two seemed intertwined, therefore both will be hoping Bremen can maintain their strong start to the season.
