After coming off the bench in Germany’s 4-3 win over Switzerland on Friday, Nick Woltemade looks likely to start up front against Ghana on Monday.

According to Bild, recent training sessions suggest that the Newcastle forward will be given the nod in attack.

With Kai Havertz expected to be rested after only recently returning from injury, Deniz Undav is another option.

When asked about Undav’s chances of playing at his usual home ground, the MHPArena, against Ghana, Nagelsmann confirmed he plans to give the 29-year-old minutes, but stopped short of guaranteeing a start.

This could be seen as a sign that Woltemade will lead the line when the game kicks off at 20:45 on Monday.
