Andrich tight-lipped on Xhaka rumours: "I'm not his advisor"

The German international didn't have much to share on Xhaka's future at the club.

    As another high profile player in Granit Xhaka looks destined to depart Bayer Leverkusen, his teammates have refrained from panicking.

    Speaking to Kicker, fellow midfielder Robert Andrich spoke on the possibility of the Swiss international leaving. 

    “That's a matter between him, his management, and the club. In the end, he'll know what's best for him.

    [It's completely normal in football] that unforeseen things happen sometimes. I can't say much about it.

    “I'm not his advisor, I'm not his agent. Anything can happen,” said the 30-year-old, who joined from 1.FC Union Berlin in 2021. 

    Andrich and Xhaka played a pivotal role in 2023-24 season, anchoring the Werkself midfield to claim their maiden Bundesliga title.
