FC Augsburg centre-back Keven Schlotterbeck is reportedly close to leaving the Bundesliga club for a move abroad.

According to Augsburger Allgemeine, Schlotterbeck is expected to undergo his medical at English Championship club Southampton today, Wednesday.

With one year remaining on his contract, Augsburg are reportedly set to receive a transfer fee of €3.85 million, plus a potential €650,000 in bonuses.

The 29-year-old was previously linked with VfL Wolfsburg but apparently turned down a move to Die Wölfe. Now, a move to England appears to be on the cards instead.

Schlotterbeck joined Augsburg from Freiburg for a reported €2.5 million fee in the summer of 2024.

He lost his place in the starting lineup towards the end of last season, making a total of 26 appearances in all competitions through the 2025/26 campaign.
