Augsburg

Since the beginning of 2025, only Bayern München and Bayer Leverkusen have scored more points than Augsburg's 26. Die Fuggerstädter recovered from their first loss of the year against Bayern by beating Bochum 2-1 last time out.

With 42 points on the board, Jess Thorup's men sit three points adrift of Freiburg in sixth, with Augsburg sniffing a potential shot at European football.

Chasing an eighth win of 2025, three points would hugely enhance these potential chances.

Team News

Kristijan Jakic is carrying a knock and is set to be assessed ahead of Sunday's clash.

Yusuf Kabadayi is out due to a knee injury, while Arne Maier is absent due to suspension following his dismissal against Bochum.

Eintracht Frankfurt

The visitors are aiming to return to winning ways after being knocked out of the Europa League at the quarter-final stage at the hands of Tottenham on Thursday.

What is imperative now for Dino Toppmöller's side is securing a top-four finish and subsequent Champions League football for next season.

While Mainz, Freiburg, and RB Leipzig can all overtake Frankfurt in the standings, a win this weekend would be crucial for a potential third-place finish.

A recent away record, seeing just one win in five, however, will leave the travelling Eintracht contingent nervous.

Team News

Being forced off against Tottenham, Mario Götze will miss this weekend's clash due to a suspected thigh issue, alongside goalkeeper Kaua Santos, who has suffered ligament damage, leaving Toppmöller with somewhat of a goalkeeping crisis, with veteran Kevin Trapp also remaining absent.
