Barcelona's Dani Olmo set for Bundesliga return at Bayern?

FC Bayern Munich are apparently taking a closer look at former RB Leipzig talisman Dani Olmo as a future transfer target.

According to the British version of Sky Sports, the gifted FC Barcelona star could even be approached by the Bavarian club this winter.

Given the growing interest of other clubs in Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala, Bayern are already planning to sign a new attacking player. 

As a possible preemptive measure the German record champions are said to be preparing a potential swoop for Olmo in January.

So far this season, the Spaniard has not played a major role in Barça's star-studded team; starting for Hansi Flick's team just twice.

Whether Barcelona and Olmo himself are open to a transfer is unclear, but with a contract until 2030, he would be expensive.

Olmo joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig for €61million two years ago, so the Catalan club would like to recoup some of that fee. 

Incidentally, Olmo has been linked with Bayern Munich in the past, while sporting director Max Eberl knows him from their time at RB Leipzig. 

Olmo contributed 29 goals and 34 assists in 148 appearances for the Saxony-based club, and since made 96 appearances for Barcelona.
