Bayern Munich are weighing up a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Alex Grimaldo, according to Kicker.

The report suggests that Bayern are monitoring the Spanish left-back, who they see as a possible replacement for Raphael Guerreiro.

Guerreiro is out of contract at the end of the season, and Grimaldo could be brought in to replace the former Borussia Dortmund player and offer competition for Alphonso Davies at the left-back position.

Grimaldo is currently under contract with Leverkusen until 2027, with an extension looking unlikely. The 30-year-old has previously expressed a desire to return to his native Spain.

Bayern brought in another key player from Leverkusen last summer, signing Jonathan Tah just before his contract was due to expire.

Grimaldo has been in excellent form for Leverkusen this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 15 matches.
