Having been heavily linked with a move in previous months, Bayern Munich's hopes of signing Rio Ngumoha look set to be dashed.

According to the Daily Mail, negotiations with Liverpool and the English international's representatives are at an advanced stage.

Ngumoha is apparently "well on his way" to extending his contract on the red half of Merseyside for the foreseeable future.

It's now deemed a matter of time – even though the German record champions are apparently still showing interest in the winger.

The Daily Mail reports that Bayern Munich, Arsenal and several other big European clubs are interested in the London native.

This isn't the first time Ngumoha has been linked with Bayern, having been labeled a concrete target for the club last summer.

According to Sky Germany at the time, both parties even reached a verbal agreement, but Liverpool categorically ruled out a sale.

With his importance growing at Anfield, it's no wonder that the Reds want extend Ngumoha's deal which is due to expire in summer of 2028.
