FC Barcelona and France defender Jules Koundé has attracted interest from Bayern Munich, according to Sport.

As reported by the Spanish outlet, Bayern are looking to sell Kim Min-jae in January, hoping to recoup around €40 million for the South Korean centre-back, who has been linked with Tottenham, Aston Villa and AC Milan.

Should they succeed in doing so, the Bavarians could move for a replacement, with Benfica's Tomás Araújo and Koundé both believed to be among their options.

According to Sport, Bayern would ideally like to convince Koundé, who has slipped down the pecking order at Barcelona since the season began.

So far, Koundé has given no indication that he wants to leave Barcelona. However, the 27-year-old French international is unlikely to be happy with a substitute role in the long run.

Bayern and Koundé have yet to make contact, but the Bavarian club could step up their interest in the Frenchman if he signals a desire to leave Barcelona.

The Frenchman, who is capable of playing at right-back and in central defence, is under contract until 2030.
