Bayern Munich suffered a triple injury blow in their 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga on Saturday night.
Ismael Saibari was the first to be forced off after a collision with BVB goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, before Serge Gnabry also had to come off before half-time.
In the second half, Michael Olise became the third Bayern player to signal that he needed to be substituted, going off towards the end of the game.
After the final whistle, Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl provided an initial injury update on the trio.
Speaking about Saibari, who left the stadium on crutches, and Gnabry, Eberl said, according to Abendzeitung:
“Both injuries are somewhat more serious.”
The initial signs are more encouraging for Olise, although he left the stadium limping, but further examinations are still pending.
Bayern assistant coach Aaron Danks also offered some insight into the three injuries in an interview with Sky, as reported by iMiaSanMia.
“Salibari was the ankle. Gnabry was a muscle injury and I'm unsure with Michael towards the end as well," he said.
"The physio staff will play a really important role now in helping all the players recover.”
Joshua Kimmich also expressed concern about the injuries, telling Sky:
“When you look at our injuries today, you realise that, ultimately, the most important thing is to stay fit.
“It didn’t look like any of them would be back in two days. The images of Ismael didn’t look good. The way his ankle buckled, it didn’t look good.”
Bayern were already without two key attacking players, Jamal Musiala and Luis Diaz, for Saturday's clash.
The Bavarians will have little time to recover, with a Champions League meeting against Atletico Madrid coming up on Tuesday.
