FC Augsburg have confirmed the arrival of 20-year-old attacking midfielder Arijon Ibrahimovic on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich.

“We’re delighted that Arijon has chosen to join FCA. He’s a young player who has already shown his quality in the Bundesliga and can operate in several attacking positions,” said FCA sporting director Benni Weber.

“His strength and determination in particular suit us and the way we want to play. At the same time, we believe there is still plenty more to come from him. We’re convinced that he can help the team straight away while also continuing to develop here.”

Ibrahimovic, who spent last season on loan at 1. FC Heidenheim, is also excited about the move.

“I’m really looking forward to this new challenge in Augsburg because FCA are an ambitious Bundesliga club. I also want to keep developing and play regularly. My aim now is to settle into the team as quickly as possible and contribute to a successful season,”
