Breakthrough – The details of Yan Diomandé's transfer to Real Madrid

Here's the financial breakdown of Real Madrid's eye-watering offer which is fully expected to bring RB Leipzig's Yan Diomandé to the Spanish capital.

According to Sky Germany's reports late this afternoon, Wednesday 5 August, Real Madrid have reached breakthrough for Yan Diomandé.

With the two clubs on the verge of completing the transfer the winger, the pay-TV channel has broken down the financial terms of the deal. 

As reported earlier this afternoon, only the final formalities remain to be resolved, with the deal on the verge of being completed. 

Real Madrid are expected to pay a base transfer fee of around €125million to the Bundesliga outfit who finished in third place last season.

Including realistic and achievable add-ons as part of the negotiations, the figure should rise by €10million to €135million overall.

As for the total package, which includes some more difficult-to-achieve bonuses, Leipzig could pocket up to €140million.

Finally, Diomandé's former employers CD Leganés will receive around 5 percent of the transfer profit equating to around €6.75million.
