Three Bundesliga clubs – 1.FC Köln, VfL Wolfsburg and 1.FC Heidenheim – have expressed interest in SC Freiburg's Eren Dinkçi.

The Bremen native already played for Heidenheim on loan for a year prior to completing his move to Breisgau in summer 2024.

However, according to the DeichStube, they report that Dinkçi “absolutely wants to return to SV Werder Bremen”.

Talks have supposedly already taken place between the club and the player's representatives in recent days.

Dinkçi wants to be closer to his family and doesn't feel comfortable in Breisgau, however a move to SVW is currently unlikely.

Werder recently signed Jovan Milosevic on loan from VfB Stuttgart as a new striker and have temporarily suspended further transfer activity.

The report continues saying Freiburg wants to recoup the transfer fee of €5million they paid for Dinkçi a year and a half ago if they sell him.
