After having a first bid for Said El Mala rejected by 1. FC Köln, Brentford FC have reportedly improved their bid for the youngster.

According to Sport Bild, an initial offer worth €40 million plus €5 million in bonuses and a sell-on clause was turned down immediately by the Billy Goats.

Brentford are now understood to have improved their offer to €45 million up front, plus lower but more easily achievable bonuses and a 15 percent sell-on clause.

Whether that will be enough for Köln, who have previously been reported to value the 19-year-old at €50 million, remains to be seen.
