According to reports, Brighton & Hove Albion have had two offers for 1. FC Köln’s Said El Mala rejected in the past, most recently seeing a €30 million bid turned down during the winter transfer window

Nevertheless, the Premier League side remain interested and are now reportedly pressing for a quick decision on the 19-year-old’s future, according to Bild.

El Mala is under contract until 2030 and has no release clause, putting Köln in a strong negotiating position.

However, if the young attacker wants to leave, the Bundesliga club may have to accommodate his wishes.

It has been suggested that El Mala is unhappy with his playing time, having started just one of Köln’s last four matches.
