With Matchday 27 of the 2024/25 Bundesliga season in the books, Bulinews.com Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has picked his Team of the Week, this time lining up in a 4-4-2 formation:

Goalkeeper

Kaua Santos, Eintracht Frankfurt

The Bundesliga's best back-up goalkeeper? Deputising for Kevin Trapp, the Brazilian had another fine game in goal for Eintracht Frankfurt, keeping a clean sheet against Stuttgart.

Defenders

Nico Schlotterbeck, Borussia Dortmund

Schlotterbeck showed a hidden talent against Mainz, with the centre-back setting up two goals from corner kicks.

Ko Itakura, Gladbach

A rock-solid performance from the Japanese centre-back, who provided the assist for Alassane Plea's winner, completed 91 percent of his passes and won five duels for the ball.

Emre Can, Borussia Dortmund

A strong performance from the BVB captain, who scored and produced a solid defensive display.

Felix Agu, Werder Bremen

Scored a wonderful long-range goal in Werder's 3-0 win over Holstein Kiel. Also completed 85 percent of his passes and won three duels to help his side keep a clean sheet.

Midfielders

Michael Olise, FC Bayern

As difficult to contain as ever, Olise set up two goals and made six key passes in Bayern's win over St. Pauli.

Aleix Garcia, Bayer Leverkusen

Scored with a long-range cannonball, and his set piece led to Leverkusen's second goal. Also solid on the ball, finding a teammate with 85 percent of his passes.

Exequiel Palacios, Bayer Leverkusen

Provided two assists and won a number of balls in midfield for Leverkusen.

Leroy Sané, FC Bayern

Bagged a brace to lead Bayern to a 3-2 win over St. Pauli.

Strikers

Maximilian Beier, Borussia Dortmund

Found the net twice to lead Dortmund to a vital 3-1 win over Mainz.

Harry Kane, FC Bayern

The England captain opened the scoring and later provided an assist as Bayern beat St. Pauli.
