Bayer Leverkusen have received a first offer from Chelsea for Kerim Alajbegovic, according to Kicker.

The German publication reports that the Blues are prepared to pay more than €30 million for the 18-year-old attacker.

Die Werkself, meanwhile, are understood to be holding out for a total package worth €40 million for Alajbegovic.

Chelsea have yet to reach an agreement with Alajbegovic, with talks between the club and the Bosnia and Herzegovina youth international still to begin.

Leverkusen sold the youngster to RB Salzburg last summer, but later decided to re-sign him by activating a buy-back clause worth around €8 million.

Alajbegovic has been primarily linked with Atalanta this summer, but negotiations over the transfer fee between the Italian side and Leverkusen have proven difficult. Things appear to be progressing more smoothly with Chelsea in that regard.
