Chelsea in talks with Xavi Simons' camp, Arsenal monitoring situation

It looks like the former La Masia academy player could be destined for a Premier League move.

Chelsea have a serious interest in Xavi Simons, going by the latest report from Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg and Philipp Hinze.

It is understood that talks between the club and the player’s camp have already commenced in recent hours - more scheduled for this evening.

Although the two clubs haven't held talks yet, it needs to be checked whether an agreement can be reached between the Blues and Simons.

Chelsea are currently the most concrete option, although fellow Premier League side Arsenal are also monitoring the situation.

Bayern Munich are not in the race so far, but Max Eberl is informed about everything and is aware Xavi wants to leave Leipzig.

In his 76 competitive games for the Saxony club to date, Simons has scored 21 goals and chipped in with a further 23 assists.
