Almost two weeks after suffering a torn thigh muscle against Eintracht Frankfurt, Alphonso Davies is a step closer to his comeback.

Bayer Munich confirmed the full-back was able to complete large parts of Thursday afternoon's training session with his teammates.

However, Davies will not be available for the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach as Vincent Kompany confirmed today

Regardless, news of the Canadian's progress is overwhelmingly positive given Bayern are entering a busy schedule.

The German record champions play a total of five games in 16 days, including a Champions League last-16 tie against Atalanta Bergamo.
