According to information from BILD, Borussia Dortmund's management is keeping a close eye on Benjamin Pavard's situation.

The ex-Bayern man is on loan from Inter Milan to Olympique Marseille, but it's unlikely they will exercise their option to buy the 29-year-old.

As a result, Pavard could potentially become available again in the summer – and even make his Bundesliga return with Dortmund.

The popular tabloid notes the trail to Pavard isn't particularly hot so far, with talk of "loose observation of the player's development”.

Despite being a regular starter in Ligue 1, there is questions whether he will even be with France at the 2026 World Cup in North America.

Since his is last international appearance on November 17, 2024, against Italy, he has been nowhere near Didier Deschamps' squad.

Ultimately, this could suit BVB from a financial perspective, as missing out on the trip to the USA, Canada and Mexico would drop his price.
