Borussia Dortmund has been mooted as a potential destination for highly rated U.S. teenager Julian Hall, according to reports in the Spanish media.

El Nacional believes FC Barcelona have their eyes set on the 16-year-old who currently plays for the New York Red Bulls

The report also suggests the Catalan club make haste in signing the right-footed talent as several clubs including Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have also shown interest.

With both U.S. and perhaps more crucially Polish citizenship, the young star could be able to sign for a European club before he turns 18.

It is believed that BVB could be a tempting destination for Hall given the Ruhrpott club’s history with American players. Christian Pulisic developed into a star here, while compatriot Gio Reyna is still on the books at the Black & Yellows.

Already drawing comparisons to Landon Donovan, the aforementioned Pulisic and Freddy Adu; Hall could also be tempted to RB Leipzig given the two clubs’ connections to the Austrian multinational conglomerate.
