Felix Agu extends Werder contract

Felix Agu has signed a new contract with Werder Bremen.

Werder Bremen and left-back Felix Agu have agreed on a contract extension.

The length of the new contract was not disclosed by the Bundesliga club.

Announcing the contract extension ahead of Werder's training camp, head of professional football Peter Niemeyer said:

“Felix has fought his way back after a long time out with injury and made himself a key part of the team. We believe he still has the potential to develop even further, and we’re looking forward to continuing to work with him.”

Agu, who has played for Werder since 2020, is pleased to commit his future to the club.

“I’ve been here for four years, and, since we were relegated, I think we’ve kept on getting better as a team and players have been able to develop at Werder. I feel at home in the team, the club and the city and think these are perfect conditions for me to take the next step in my career," he said.
