Sky Sport report Tidiam Gomis finally landed in Leipzig to complete his long-awaited move to Bundesliga. The 18-year-old missed a Ligue 2 game for the first time this season when Caen suffered their seventh straight defeat on Saturday against Troyes.

Gomis was close to joining Leipzig in the summer, but he finally decided to stay in France. Leipzig beat AC Milan and Aston Villa for the signing of the left-winger for around €1 million.

In successive years, Gomis reached the finals of the U17 and U19 European Championships. He was also a key player when France U17 lost to Germany in the 2023 World Cup staged in Indonesia.

Leipzig have been active on the deadline day of the transfer market. They signed another teenager Kosta Nedeljkovic as defensive reinforcement, while Andre Silva joined fellow Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen.
