Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy's release clause is reportedly set to expire next week.

According to Sky Germany, the clause – which applies to a select group of clubs and makes it possible for the striker to leave Dortmund for a fixed fee of just under €40 million this summer – expires on July 15.

Despite the approaching deadline, none of the European heavyweights eligible to trigger the clause have yet made a concrete move for the striker.

Guirassy has mainly been linked with a move to Fenerbahçe in recent weeks. However, according to Sky, a move to the Turkish club appears unlikely.

Dortmund haven't received a concrete offer for the 30-year-old, while a move to the Süper Lig is reportedly not a sporting challenge that appeals to the Guinea international.

Guirassy's contract with Dortmund runs until 2028.
