Hamburg beat Köln for first league win

The game started off slowly with both teams having possession but little chances in the first 10 minutes. Köln dominated the ball in the first fifteen minutes but were unable to do anything with the possession.
During the 24th minute, Köln's sole striker Thijs Dallinga had a huge chance in the box but was thwarted in the last moment by the Hamburg defence.
Daniel Heuer-Fernandes made a great save in the 27th minute for Hamburg to stop Mikey Moore's shot and to keep the score level for the hosts.
Hamburg's Fábio Vieira had a good chance in the 32nd minute through a deflected effort but Marvin Schwäbe had enough time to make a save.
Following from this, Köln's Linton Maina started a counter attack with his pace and found Said El Mala in the box but the German international was unable to score.
Thijs Dallinga produced a wonderful header for the away side Köln in the 38th minute but was thwarted by Daniel Heuer Fernandes who made an excellent save with Köln producing the best chance so far in the tie.
In the 44th minute, Hamburg took the lead with a corner goal and a header from Nicolás Capaldo to make it their first Bundesliga goal this season.
Just after the break, Mikey Moore missed a golden opportunity for Köln but put his shot just over the crossbar.
During the 50th minute, Hamburg doubled their lead through Yussuf Poulsen through a cross from defender Grønbæk to score his first league goal of the season.
Minutes after, Said El Mala had a chance but once again Heuer Fernandes saved for Hamburg.
During the 65th minute, Köln made a double change brining in Borna Sosa and Ragnar Ache for Thijs Dallinga and Gideon Mensah.
Just after two Hamburg subs, substitute Ísak Jóhanesson picked up the second yellow of the game in the 77th minute. During the 84th minute, Ellyes Skhiri was added alongside his teammate in the referee's book with a yellow card.
In the 90th minute, Ragnar Ache scored a consolation to make it 2-1 and keep Köln in the game with a tiny chance with the final goal of the game.
