After being one of the key players in Stuttgart's sensational 2023/24 campaign, Chris Führich has slipped down the pecking order this season, starting four of the last five games from the bench.
Speaking after Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Sparta Prague in the Champions League, in which Führich came on with 29 minutes remaining, Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness backed the 26-year-old to rediscover his best form.
"With Chris it's all going a bit too fast for me. It's OK: he's having a dip in form, but that's not a problem. He'll get out of it quickly. He was a refreshing substitute," said Hoeness.
“Chris is a very important player for us and he set the bar high last season. Now we're working together to make sure he raises it again.”
