Bayern Munich will be looking to overturn a 1-2 first-leg defeat when they travel to Milan for the second game of their Champions League quarter-final clash with Inter on Wednesday.

Vincent Kompany’s side dominated much of the first leg in Munich, but were made to pay for their missed chances, as Inter struck twice with clinical efficiency.

It was a fairly similar story against Borussia Dortmund over the weekend, although Bayern didn't lose against the Black and Yellows. The Bavarians again controlled long stretches of the game, but had to settle for a 2-2 draw, maintaining their six-point lead over Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the Bundesliga table.

Injuries continue to plague the Bavarians, with several key players still sidelined. Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito, Jamal Musiala, Manuel Neuer and Dayot Upamecano will all miss the trip to Italy.

In Musiala’s absence, Raphael Guerreiro and Thomas Müller are in contention to start in the central attacking midfield role. Guerreiro featured there in the first leg against Inter, while Müller was given the nod against Dortmund.

Inter, meanwhile, come into the second leg full of confidence after securing a 3-1 win over Cagliari. The Serie A leaders will aim to complete the job at home, buoyed by recent form and strong home support.

The Italians will be without Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zieliński.
