Scoring a decisive goal in Bayern Munich's DFB Pokal semi-final win over Bayer Leverkusen this evening, Harry Kane was delighted to help his side reach the final for the first time since 2020.

“It was a top performance from start to finish. We pressed them and won the ball high,” Kane said, speaking in the mixed zone afterwards.

“We should've scored more goals and decided the game earlier. Overall they didn't create many chances and we deserved the win,” he added.

The English marksman had previously underlined the importance of the German cup for the Bavarian club all campaign.

“We said at the start of the season that the DFB Pokal was a goal. The guys said it was an amazing experience in Berlin. I'm really happy we made it there,” he added.

The 32-year-old will now get his first taste of a DFB-Pokal final in Berlin, where they will take on one of VfB Stuttgart or SC Freiburg on Saturday, 23 May.
