Kicker Report: St. Pauli set to land talented German youth international on loan

Germany's Kicker Magazine reports that newly promoted Bundesliga side FC St. Pauli are set to secure the services of a highly touted German youth international on loan.

German journalist Sebastian Wolff of Kicker Magazine reports that talented German youth international Robert Wagner's next station will be FC St. Pauli. The SC Freiburg academy man recently completed a successful loan stint in the 2. Bundesliga with SpVgg Greuther Fürth in which he scored four goals and recorded five assists. The 20-year-old estimated market worth has risen to a career high of €3 million. Wolff claims that a one-year-loan has been agreed to. Wagner will be the Kiezkicker's first sumer signing

Wagner has earned consistent praise from head-coach Alexander Zorniger and SpVgg sporting director Rachid Azzouzi for his fearlessly aggressive style-of-play in midfield duels. The 20-year-old has also received regular call-ups to Antonio di Salvo's Germany U21 squad over the course of the last year. St. Pauli are in dire need of assistance following the departure of their leading goalscorer Marcel Hartel and the inability to hang onto 1. FC Union Berlin loannee Aljoscha Kemlein.
