Michael Olise scored his first hat-trick for FC Bayern in their 7-0 victory over Union Berlin on Friday evening. The Frenchman took home the “Man of the Match” award in the game that saw Harry Kane become the fastest to reach 100 Bundesliga goals.
"He's such a good character. An amazing player. Everyone has a unique way of playing football and conducting themselves off the pitch. It's a joy to play alongside him.” Kane said about Olise after the game.
Vincent Kompany also praised the Frenchman after his third strike put him on 50 goals in Bayern colors. "The whole package,” the Belgian coach responded when he was asked what impressed him the most about Olise.
“The way he plays football, but also how he is as a person. Michael Olise is a whole package. It's easy to work with such players. He's been playing at this level for almost two and a half years. He's definitely on a good path."
Olise will now join the French national team as they play their first games under the former Ballon d’Or winner Zinedine Zidane. The 24-year-old and his clubmate Dayot Upamecano, who was substituted at half-time on Friday, are the only German-based players in France’s squad for the UEFA Nations League games.
