After roughly five days of haggling, RB Leipzig and VfL Wolfsburg have agreed on a transfer fee of approximately €4.5 million for four-times-capped German international Ridle Baku. This is reported by German footballing journalist Thomas Hiete of Kicker Magazine, who write that Baku is due in the Saxon capital for a medical early tomorrow morning.
The German Red Bulls may have a second player to introduce tomorrow. Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany's Philipp Hinze both report that the deal the bring in AC Milan attacker Noah Akafor in on loan is effectively done. The 24-times-capped Swiss international will arrive in Leipzig on loan with an option to buy.
As part of the arrangement, Romano reports, Okafor's full salary will be covered by the German club. The 24-year-old - capable of playing as both a winger and a forward - maintains an estimated market worth of €15 million in the latest transfermarkt update. Okafor's arrival should help facilitate André Silva's rumored departure.
