İlkay Gündoğan hints at 1.FC Nürnberg return: "Everything is possible"
With 53 appearances made for the club between 2008 and 2011, Gündoğan said he could imagine featuring for Nürnberg in some form or another down the line.

Former Germany international İlkay Gündoğan said he won't rule out making a return to 1.FC Nürnberg in the future.
“I still have a very close connection to Nürnberg because the club means a lot to me," the midfielder said, speaking to Sky Germany.
"I’m very grateful to the club and the city. I can definitely imagine returning one day, in whatever role that may be.
“Whether it’s for one or two years as a player or later as a sporting director or coach, everything is possible," Gündoğan added.
Gündoğan, who currently plays for Turkish Süper Lig side Galatasaray, is contracted to the club until the summer of 2027.
The 35-year-old represented 1.FC Nürnberg from 2008 to 2011 before playing for Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Barcelona.
