With Manuel Neuer expected to retire from football next summer, Bayern Munich already have a successor in place for the veteran in the shape of Jonas Urbig.
However, the Bavarians still want to bring in another goalkeeper, as they are looking for a reliable and experienced option to serve as back-up for Urbig.
Bayern have been linked with several shot-stoppers within the Bundesliga, including Marvin Schwäbe (1. FC Köln), Oliver Baumann (TSG Hoffenheim) and Finn Dahmen (FC Augsburg).
However, the Bavarians are also exploring the international market, with Fulham’s Bernd Leno previously mentioned as a potential target.
Alternatively, the German giants could turn their attention to another Premier League goalkeeper, with Sky Germany reporting that Newcastle United’s Nick Pope is also on Bayern’s radar.
The 34-year-old, who is behind Lukas Hornicek in the pecking order at St. James’ Park, is available on a free transfer in the summer of 2027 as things stand.
Alongside the aforementioned names, Sky also lists Koen Casteels (Al-Qadsiah), Kevin Trapp (Paris FC), Frederik Rønnow (1. FC Union Berlin), Lukas Hradecky (AS Monaco), Juan Musso (Atlético Madrid) and Rui Silva (Sporting CP) as potential targets for Bayern.
