Nagelsmann set to return from COVID-19 isolation for Benfica clash

Julian Nagelsmann is expecting to be present again when Bayern München face Benfica tomorrow.
Bayern München coach Julian Nagelsmann is expecting to be back on the sidelines for Tuesday's Champions League clash with SL Benfica.

Nagelsmann, who has watched Bayern's last four games from home while quarantining after testing positive for COVID-19, told reporters at a press conference on Monday:

"I'm feeling good. Of course I can still notice some of the aftereffects on my body, but that's normal.

"I think, and hope, that I will test negative tomorrow morning in order to be able to return to the team."

The Bayern coach then went on to provide an update on his squad.

"[Alphonso] Davies is still dealing with some muscular issues, so we will make a decision tomorrow," he said and added:

"[Leon] Goretzka was dealing with a laceration, which has since healed. [Lucas] Hernández suffered a knock, but I assume that he will be fit for tomorrow."
