Hertha BSC centre-back duo Dedryck Boyata and Marton Dardai are likely to remain sidelined for several weeks.
According to Bild, the two central defenders are expected to be out until mid March due to "severe ankle and ligament injuries".
Their absences leave Hertha with three fit centre-backs in the shape of Marc Oliver Kempf, Niklas Stark and Linus Gecther.
The German capital club sit 14th in the Bundesliga table ahead of their clash with RB Leipzig on Sunday.
