Seoane confirms calf injury for Schick
Bayer Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane provided a short update on Patrik Schick after the striker was forced off during the second half of Friday's game against Mainz.
Patrik Schick was forced off in the beginning of the second half as Bayer Leverkusen lost 3-2 to Mainz in the Bundesliga last night.
At the post-match press conference, Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane confirmed the striker went off with calf problems.
"Patrik Schick has injured his left calf. We will find out the exact diagnosis tomorrow or the day after," Seoane told reporters on Friday evening.
Last night's defeat saw an unbeaten run of five games come to an end for 'Die Werkself'.
"Defeats are part of the game and always have an influence on the mood in the team, of course," said Seoane.
"It's important to work through it now, to find solutions and to focus on the next match. We're trying to find a good balance."
