Union duo sign contract extensions

Union Berlin veterans Andreas Luthe and Christopher Trimmel have had their deals extended.
1. FC Union Berlin have extended the expiring contracts of goalkeeper Andreas Luthe and wing-back Christopher Trimmel, according to Kicker.

The club's director of professional football, Oliver Ruhnert, confirmed on Wednesday that the two 35-year-old's will stay beyond the summer, but didn't provide further information on the contents of their new deals.

"We don't say anything about extensions or contract terms, but both players are under contract with us next season. That is correct."

Additionally, the contract of Niko Gießelmann has been extended by one season until the summer of 2023.

"Niko is also under contract with us next season," confirmed Ruhnert.
