The German tabloid reports that a decision on the future of Hoeness is to be made this week, with the 40-year-old expected to lose his job.
Hoffenheim finished ninth in the Bundesliga after failing to win in their last nine Bundesliga games of the season.
Per Bild, Hoffenheim investor Dietmar Hopp has lost patience with Hoeness. Die Kraichgauer's 5-1 defeat against Gladbach in the last game of the season was apparently the last straw.
The Hoffenheim coach is under contract until 2023.
